Multicultural Advisory Council (MAC)
The Multicultural Advisory Council is a diverse group of leaders that seeks to broaden traditional definitions of the term multicultural. We are looking for students who possess a passion for educating the campus community about a variety of multicultural topics and issues. Interested? Diversity Dialogue Workshops
Our office works with various student organizations to select programs, speakers, and facilitators to provide education to the students, faculty and staff of Angelo State University. Some of the topics include:
- Race Relations
- Identity Development
- Privilege
- Social Justice
- Multicultural Competence
Cross-Cultural Events
Opportunities to learn and embrace diversity abound at Angelo State. The Office of Multicultural Activities works collaboratively with student organizations as well as academic and administrative departments to provide opportunities to learn about and embrace differences, while also recognizing similarities.
Multicultural Movie Series
We are pleased to offer the Multicultural Movie Series to Angelo State University students. The series offers students the opportunity to learn and discuss pertinent multicultural issues in our society. Titles have included Hairspray, Hotel Rwanda, and A League of Their Own. Admission is free for students!
